IAD 2016
On March 19th 2016 there will be the 23rd International Astrology Day.
The Association for Astrological Networking is excited to announce the 23rd annual International Astrology Day (IAD) - March 19th 2016.
- What is IAD?
In 1993 AFAN founded International Astrology Day, an outgrowth of Astrology Awareness Weekend. It is celebrated on the Vernal Equinox, or the first day (in the Tropical Zodiac) of Aries. The new holiday was brought into being with the hope it would expand networking opportunities and promote positive aspects of astrology both with in the astrology community and to the public at large. Over the years IAD has grown into a powerful and festive event, with gatherings held in countless locations across the globe. IAD celebrations can be found in shops, educational centers, and public spaces. Some events are held on the day itself while others take place on the weekend before or after the day in honor the holiday. Today with the advent of technology people also gather virtually, attending webinars or online conferences enabling astrologers and astrology enthusiasts alike to gather in one place from around the world. In additionally to more formal lectures casual gatherings are held in peoples’ homes around the world to honor the day and this stellar cosmology.
